Stephen Geyer, Ed.D., Virginia School Consortium for Learning Chair, is the proud assistant superintendent of instruction for Goochland County Public Schools.  He has served the Goochland community in this role for thirteen years. Prior to his current post, Dr. Geyer was an elementary principal in Clarke County for eleven years, and an English teacher and athletic coach in Greene County prior to that.  Dr. Geyer’s professional recognitions include VaSCD's Curriculum Leader of the Year and James Madison University’s Distinguished Alumni Award for the School of Education.

Dr. Geyer lives in Goochland with his wife and two children.  He says, “I am blessed to serve our school-community as the division’s instructional leader, and I’m happy to support students and educators across the Commonwealth when and where I’m able.”  During his free time, he likes to exercise, be outdoors, and spend time with his family.
